I am a PhD student and my thesis research revolves in bugs. Currently, I am working on a approach to (automatically) group similar bugs and generate a single condensed group report. I also plan to test some data mining techniques on a exploratory research.

I doubt the absolute up-to-dateness of the data is vital, so you could probably just give him a copy of a recent dump you did for another researcher.
