User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0 Build ID: 20121024073032 Steps to reproduce: I am using the free Sysinternals product called Desktops (desktops.exe, http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/cc817881.aspx) to allow for more than one desktop in Windows 7. Steps To Reproduce: 1. Create a second Firefox profile, call it "Desktop 2" for being able to start a second, independent Firefox instance. 2. Start Firefox on the 1st (the default) desktop with the default profile. 3. Switch to the second desktop. 4. Start firefox with the -no-remote -ProfileManager options. 5. As the Profile Manager window appears, select the new "Desktop 2" profile and click the Start Firefox button. Actual results: In step 5, the Profile Manager window disappears, but the Firefox main window doesn't open on the second desktop. When I switch back to the first (default) desktop, I can see that the Firefox main window has openend there. Expected results: In step 5, after the Profile Manager window disappears, the Firefox main window should open on the second desktop. As the Firefox main window *is* opening on a secondary desktop when using the -p option, I think there must be a difference in how the Profile Manager opens the Firefox main window and how a shortcut with the -p option opens the Firefox main window. This IMHO would suggest that the Profile Manager forces - since version 12 - the main window to always open on the first (default) desktop, even though the Profile Manager itself was started (and shows up) on the second desktop.
