Explain the goal and use-case of having web analytics on this website: We track this site using Webtrends, but the information we gather is either pieced together or not easily available. For example, a bit.ly url to the page delivers a widely different visitor count than Webtrends. If we can track visitors to the page, and then downloads from the page, we can help drive our big 3 goals.
Do you have requirements to track user interactions on your website? For example, how many people have clicked a button on a page, filled out a form, or went through a pre-defined funnel?: Yes, I would like to know how many people sign up for our newsletter, etc:
I'd like to track
1. How many people click on the "featured stories" (are those driving traffic?)
2. How many people land on the home page (vs individual stories)
3. All the buttons on the right hand side (newsletter, etc.)
4. How many clicks are the Affiliates buttons getting? (I'd like to make these not Affiliates buttons, but rather, trackable, clickable buttons)
5. How many clicks the tags get
Define the people who should have access to the reports. Carmen Collins, William Reynolds, Winston Bowden, Chelsea Novak, Jessilyn Davis, Mary Colvig, Matej Novak
Please add your @mozilla.com or @mozillafoundation.org email to your Google account: Question: I've turned on my corporate gmail account - do I need to do anything else?

Checking in here - is there a status on timing? Also, is there someone that can help me implement on The Den? (ie: Is that something I can do in Wordpress, or will I need Web Dev help?)
It would be sooooooooo nice to have this for January :)

Hi Carmen.
Craig is on PTO until tomorrow and I will talk to him when he gets back. He's currently the only person that knows out blog infrastructure and is the one to do this. It is on our sprint to add this functionality to the blog.mozilla.org website and then be able to push it out on a per-blog-instance basis.

Google Analytics has been added to the den and all users have been added. Log into https://www.google.com/analytics/ with your @mozilla.com email. If you can't log in, please file a service-now request and have them reset your Google Apps account.
