Eric Wong is a community contributor, he's been working on SeaMonkey in the past (and present) as well as trying to get more involved in Release Engineering projects. We have discussed him taking on some of the next steps for the Autoland project that was started by a releng intern and has been collecting dust for a while. This is a very useful project that a contributor could work on at their own pace and the final product would help many Mozilla contributors as well as Release coordinators. The plan right now is to get Eric an LDAP account with access to mpt-vpn so that he can work on the autoland master just like our former intern did. He will have no access to production machines, only staging, and this autoland master will be able to push to the try repo (I will remove the keys that have permission to push to any other branches). Afaict this makes it quite safe, but mrz mentioned getting mcoates to sign off on this so he is cc'd.
Might have conflated two contributors (ewong and ekw) so ekw, who I'm trying to work this out with, might not have contributed to SM before but the rest of the request stands.

Still waiting for mcoates to approve/deny this
Lukas, Give me a moment to review this request. When do you need this by?

CC'ing David after a meeting about the possibility of ATeam taking over this project. He'll help push on getting our dev env set up for this and then getting Eric set up to work on some of the initial goals for reviving Autoland: status page of currently running modules, and then also trying to work with orangefactor API instead of basing success on handwaving 'threshold' as we currently do.
Dumitru - shouldn't this be created as a standard community LDAP account?

(In reply to Tim Fairfield [:timf] from comment #7) > Dumitru - shouldn't this be created as a standard community LDAP account? Yep. We've done this in the past - as long as the manager who will be responsible for the project acknowledges it. Create LDAP accounts in o=net, and enable mpt-vpn bit.

Please confirm that Eric Wong has a Committer's Agreement on file with HR, then I can create the LDAP Account.

Eric does not appear to have a Bugzilla account, nor a filed Committer's Agreement.
My Committer's Agreement was submitted in Bug 816579
It appears that you already have a Community Member LDAP Account under ewong3@gmail.com. Last password change was 1-28-2013. Let me know if you need me to reset the password. As for MPT access, dmoore will need to approve. Added him to the bug.
My apologies. We need cshields approval for MPT Access.
