It is considered as a good practice that clicking on a label triggers the corresponding input control. However in the settings app, sometimes it doesn't work. In the Wi-Fi configuration panel, most notably in the "join hidden network" panel (but it is also happening in other parts), you can't click neither "SSID Network Name" nor "security" nor "Password". "show password" does work. It should be enough to use labels instead of spans.

for labels with chevron at right side it expect to have some actions. For labels without other decoration it supposedly just a informative area. I'd close this bug because the issue is a bit vague here, please file specific issues instead.

It's a very old bug anyway, I'll be sure to look at the current app and see if there are issues now. I definitely disagree with your stance "just an informative area" though...
