Attached image Tab draw unexpanded (obsolete) —
Some devices with a low resolution (such as the Nexus One) do not render the menu button in the top right. Opening the tab drawer results in a transition from a curved off toolbar to a full page. Perhaps the plus button should be curved, or the drawer button squared off.

See the attached screenshots for a better illustration of what I mean.

This is all devices with a dedicated menu button, I suppose(?) - Cc'ing UX and front-end peeps for comment.

I think it'd be nice to square off in this case personally, the curve up against the edge of the screen doesn't look very nice at all (imho).
What's the story here?

We actually have plans to square it off everywhere in bug 817749.

To clarify - we plan to square it off when the tab tray is open.

When the tab tray is closed, we intend to keep the rounded design.
UI has changed a dozen times over since filing, WFM.
