Firefox under-performs when displaying the British Railway Station Openings web page (http://www.thetrainline.com/british-railway-stations/index.html).

The webpage is adding / position hundreds of position:absolute <li> elements based on a timeline, which can be dragged. Simply playing the timeline is resulting in firefox on the verge of freezing while the dot-appearing-animation isn't played.

If you drag the timeline, things are even worse.

Interestingly, if you try to inspect any of the <li> dots, it'll freeze firefox and will take +/- 10 sec for the CSS rules to show up.
Hmm. Playing this looks fine. Dragging is a bit slow, though in all browsers I have on hand. This is on Mac, with a nightly.

Mathieu, are you on Linux? Using what build?

Boris, yes, I was on Linux when reporting this bug, using yesterday's nightly build.

I've since then switched to a windows 7 machine and, using the latest mozilla-central tinderbox build, see the same slowness / freezing.

Video card is Nvidia.

For the record, it's working without slow-downs on chromium linux / windows.

Boris, are you in a position to confirm issue is affecting more than a single soul by testing it on a windows or linux machine? :)
