User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0 Build ID: 20121024073032 Steps to reproduce: When right clicking on a misspelt word, the spelling sugestions will not disappear. This can be replicated on any webpage at any time like this one (see attatchment) Actual results: The suggested words don't disapear when right clicking. Expected results: They should disappear when not it use

I'm not sure if I understand your issue. If I right click on a misspelled word, a context menu opens with suggestions as seen on your screenshot. The context menu disappears if I either select an entry in the context menu or if I left click on the page. I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0 Can you please test this again in the Firefox safemode ? - http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
Component: General → Untriaged
Thats what happens to me. However I still get the spellcheck words in the context menu even when I'm not typing anything or on another page. They still haven't disapeared (see 2nd attachment).
Can you please try it again in the firefox safemode: Help/restart with addons disabled ?
In safemode (with add-ons disabled) it does not show up. My addons which were enabled during normal execution of firefox are in the third screenshot (see third attachment)
The safemode does a little bit more than just disabling all addons. The next test would be to disable all addons manually in tools/addons/extensions and run Firefox in the normal mode. In case you still get the problem in the normal mode with addons disabled try to disable the hardware acceleration under tool/options/advanced/general (firefox restart required).
Since reverting back from safe mode, I cannot replicate the problem. This doesn't seem to be an add-on issue. The problem seems to have disappeared but will re-open this if the problem should arise again in the future. Thank you for all your help.
