User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux i686; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0
Build ID: 20121025210805

Steps to reproduce:

When I receive an email (from Exchange) with an event, I can right click, then "Convert to" and select "event" to make a Lightning event out of the email

Actual results:

The dialog to create the event uses the current date and the next available one hour block, rather than the date and time from the email

Expected results:

The default date and time for the converted event should match the original event.
"Convert To" will just create an event with the email message title and content - the behavior observed by you is OK and currently the expected one.
Parsing an email message and extracting event information from it is a feature that is not yet available, see bug 403222.

This may be an entirely different bug, then.

With Lightning installed, Lightning 1.8 successfully parses an event invitation from Exchange, but provides no way to accept it (or add it to the default calendar) aside from the "convert to" functionality.
You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
