Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.8; rv:16.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/16.0 Build ID: 20121024073032 Steps to reproduce: In addition to a few password less XMPP chatrooms, I added a couple of password-protected XMPP chatrooms (with auto-join option set). They work fine but... Actual results: Every time I restart thunderbird, the password-protected chatrooms simply disappear from the "Conversations" list along with their settings. I am forced to reenter the settings and add these chatrooms upon every restart. Expected results: Password-protected chatrooms added to IM should have been correctly stored permanently and persist across restarts. Just like password-less chatrooms which persist across restarts.
Currently on the chat room names are stored, not passwords.

Is this still an issue?

I think this is essentially a duplicate of bug 955168 -- we don't properly save any information about chat rooms to re-join except the name of the chat room.

Actually bug 1427859 is probably a better duplcate.
