I updated my dogfooding phone today and it appears easy to get into a state (while the phone is sluggish) where I try to launch an app (e.g. Settings) and it ends up creating a big black bothersome rectangle. Posting a screenshot for now. Will post more info if/as I get it.

Also saw some layout issues related to the bottom task bar (it moved up to mid screen).

David: That looks as if the app is in "card view." If you long press the home button and put focus on it, what happens?

I'm currently sidetracked in what seems to be a recurring update loop. (installing update, then being told there is an update, downloading etc.)

Things seem 'ok' now... but summoning the card view seems to show the card view sometimes and not others. And using the card view seems broken (selecting the preferences task moved that card up a bunch of pixels but didn't remove the card view).

Leaving the phone for a while seemed to help and things work 'ok' again including card view. I'm going to close this unless/until I have more reliable STR.
