I do see recorded videos showing up in the Gallery using the latest unagi nightly, with these versions of Gecko and Gaia:

Even I faced the same problem.

Unagi, Build Id : 20130118070201,
Git commit info : 2013-01-18 08:29:43
7b8dea7e7ec377a2143151bbe5e998... (I see ellipsis in the end)
#Repro:
1) open camera app
2) tap on the video icon
3) start recording a video
4) stop recording
5) tap on the gallery icon in the bottom left corner
# Expected:
Recorded video doesnt show up on the gallery. You have to reboot your phone or kill the app to see the newly recorded videos in the gallery
# Actual :
Newly recorded videos appear in the gallery.
The logcat shows a whole bunch of red lines when I try to tap on the gallery icon on the bottom left corner, after recording a video using the camera app. I can see the newly recorded video in the gallery after I kill and restart the app. Basically this happens when you try to go to the gallery from the camera app.
