It would be nice if we could offer Mozilla Persona as an option for people to sign in when they want to comment on Hacks.
I am one of the Persona developers and would like to offer a hand in making this happen. I actively use the BrowserID Wordpress plugin on my personal blog to log in to the admin interface but not for comments.

:groovecoder - pardon the delay, I have been out for the last two weeks to learn how to be a dad. I have taken over maintainer duties of the Wordpress Persona plugin and would be happy to help integrate it. The code will need to be re-reviewed by the security team since substantial changes have taken place since the last one. The catch is, since Persona has been de-prioritized, I have started to put my efforts into other projects and will not have time to actively make improvements.

Congrats, Shane! Given the current status of Persona and lack of general priority for it, I don't think it's worth pursuing this more at this time.
