The button for Manage Add-ons was removed in bug 513164. As it was needed two reviews and landings, it is possible that there are out of sync. Seen the source code for this tab, it is shown that the button should not appear. Maybe next update -even last Tuesday one- will. It was scheduled to land on Firefox 18.
About the last tab, preferences managed are different, and so it is the interface that enables the user to manage them.
Anyway, could you elaborate more about this last one, luigitab? Any suggestion about how e could do it better?
Oh yes, many suggestions (Nightly 20 & Daily 20 - 2012-11-21):
1) General tab
With Firefox, I can tell him, 'show my windows and tabs from last time' or 'home/blank page'.
With Thunderbird, I can't, but in Thunderbird, I can also open a tab (a).
Moreover, Firefox title is 'Startup', Thunderbird title is 'Daily Start Page' (b).
Where is the Download section in Thunderbird? (c)
There is ':' at the end of the 'when a new message arrive:' title, why? (d)
2) Tabs tab
Where is the Tabs tab in Thunderbird? (e)
For example, with Thunderbird, I can also decide if I want to switch to new tab immediately or not.
3) Content/Display tab
4) Applications/Attachments tab
5) Security tab
With Firefox, the is two tabs, Security and Privacy.
Why I can't block reported attack sites or web forgeries, it's not possible with email?
6) Advanced tab
'Submit crash reports' missing in Thunderbird?
'System defaults' or 'System integration'?
'Browsing' or 'Scrolling'?
Update 'nightly updates' or Update?
'Encryption' or 'Certificate'?
Why so much difference?

That section is titled "Attachments". That title is better than "Downloads" as we are talking about an email client.

This could be fixed by adding a new string as the group label and moving 'when a new message arrive:' inside the group itself.

I am unsure, but probably there is a way to do that part. When choosing "Open message in a new tab" on the pop-up menu, a new tab is opened whith the message, but there view keeps on the messages list. A new preference would be added and a good place to insert it is on Advanced/Reading & Display tab.

Security tab is one of the tabs which have a bug filed in order to improve its UI. Cannot remember which one.

I don't know if TB allows this feature. There was, however a bug to see the crash reports, bug 431439, but there is no activity on it since 2011.
> 'System defaults' or 'System integration'?
System Integration looks OK, IMHO. TB not only wants to look if it is the default client, but it offers you to allow Windows to search in your messages, and that is not a "default" related feature, but an "integration" one.
> 'Browsing' or 'Scrolling'?
Scrolling.

This tab's content is only about "certificates", so its title looks right.

I don't think there is inherent value in the premise, now even less than it was five years ago. And it will only become more divergent - Firefox have recently changed it up. Magnus can correct if I am wrong.

In general we like to port Firefox fixes. But I don't think this bug adds much value, feel free to send patches for individual fixes though.
