See bug 787565#c26 for context. Security Assurance had a pandaboard chasis built. We need an imagine server so we can run our own mozpool instance and BMM, per discussion in bug 787565. I was asked to open up another bug for that discussion/issue.
This will need to be a small VM in sa.scl3 (vlan92, IIRC). NAME: mobile-imaging1.sa.scl3.mozilla.com OS: CentOS 6.x RAM: 2G DISK: 20G CPUs: 1 Please do *not* puppetize.
Just to know, what do we think the likely ETA of this is?
The VM will be up today, our apologies for the delay.
Currently don't see any sa.scl3 hostnames. Vlan 92 currently only has; secfuzzesx.sec.scl3.mozilla.com Will be using; mobile-imaging1.sec.scl3.mozilla.com If this is incorrect, please let me know so that the sec one could be renamed as well.
abillings: please clarify, should this VM be on your secfuzzesx host, or on the regular scl3 ESX cluster?
(In reply to Dan Parsons [:lerxst] from comment #5) > abillings: please clarify, should this VM be on your secfuzzesx host, or on > the regular scl3 ESX cluster? I don't care where it lives. If it is convenient on the secfuzzesx host, it works for us, I believe. We're waiting for the pandaboards in their chasis to be installed so there is nothing else in vlan92 yet.
As we're not involved with the use and maintenance of secfuzzesx, let's put the VM on the scl3 cluster.
mobile-imaging1.sec.scl3.mozilla.com is ready, just waiting for vlan to be plumbed so that it's online. Do you need a basic nagios ping check for this host once it's online?
Yes please - I'll add extra stuff after that. I'm still not sure how we'll do this, but I'll figure it out :)
mobile-imaging1.sec.scl3.mozilla.com online, added to inventory, NOT puppetized and basic nagios ping check added. Host as our standard root ssh keys and latest password.
