There are several ways to make the selected text gray instead of blue. Here are two of them: 1: * Select some text * Rightclick on a link * Click outside the popupmenu * Click outside the selection to make it disappear * Select some text 2: * Go to a cached page in offline mode * Click on a link that is not in cache * Select some text Notice that the selection is now gray.
I can reproduce case 1 on Red Hat Linux 7.1 with Mozilla 0.9 (Build ID: 2001050521). Haven't tried case 2.
I'm also seeing this on Linux / 2001051508. FWIW, this is the color of selected text when another window gets focus. Select some text, select another window, and the text goes gray. Similarly, follow the instructions for #1, select another window, and select this window again, and the text is back to normal. Bug #76393 is another case where popups act like windows and strange things happen.

I am getting used to it for a long time... ;) My eyes got numb on those colors...
I quite like the grey selection. It looks quite nice. Any chance we could change this bug as a request for text selections to always be grey? :-) Anyway, I've been seeing this on Mozilla (and Netscape 6) for as long as I can remember on my Windows 98SE PC.

I thought this was fixed but... Workaround : Set the 'selected' colour to 148,148,148 in display properties/appearance in windows control panel. My new colour scheme made me think that this was fixed :o)
