Details
Steps to Reproduce:
- open Thunderbird 17
- select an email with multiple recipients and hit Reply All
- enter some text in the message body
- resize (expand) the list of recipients, in order to see all of them
- TB crashes
Alternative steps to reproduce:
- open TB 17
- create a new (empty) email using the Write button
- TB crashes
I can only select emails to read them, but I cannot write any new emails.
This problem only occurs in Windows 7 (64 bit). In Windows XP-SP3 it works without a problem (i.e., I could not reproduce this issue).

On my Windows 7 (32 bit), Thunderbird 17 also crashes a few seconds after I open a new composition window. Every time. The same in safe mode where all add-ons are disabled.
This problem makes the program unusable, and the priority should be "critical", instead of "normal".

Earlier I must have been mistaken, because now I see the problem disappears when the Quicktext extension is disabled, as suggested in <http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=2619881>. Sorry for the confusion.
I disabled the Quicktext extension and TB works as expected.
