Please don't let us google around what "testlink" is and please provide steps to reproduce. 1) load http://demo.testlink.org/tl194demo/login.php 2) login with admin/admin 3) do what ? Does it work if you do the following: 1) enter about:config in Firefox 2) confirm the warning 3) right click on the content and select "new"->"string" 4) as name enter "general.useragent.override" (without the quotes) 5) as value enter "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:10.0.8) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.8" 6) confirm that the new UA string is shown in "about:" 7) Test your page again 8) IMPORTANT: open "about:config" again, enter "override" in the top filter bar and right click and the entry created with 4) and select "reset". This should remove the entry again.

1) load http://demo.testlink.org/tl194demo/login.php 2) login with admin/admin 3) do what ? 3) click "test specification" hyperlink at the top page menu 4) select any suite\folder at left part of page(it is under 'expand tree' button) with left mouse click 5) at right part of page click 'create' under 'test suite operations' 6) 'descriptions' text area doesn't contain any controls like 'B' bold, 'I' italic, 'hyperlink' and so on (controls which provide some text effects) Does it work if you do the following:? 1) enter about:config in Firefox 2) confirm the warning 3) right click on the content and select "new"->"string" 4) as name enter "general.useragent.override" (without the quotes) 5) as value enter "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:10.0.8) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.8" 6) confirm that the new UA string is shown in "about:" 7) Test your page again 8) IMPORTANT: open "about:config" again, enter "override" in the top filter bar and right click and the entry created with 4) and select "reset". This should remove the entry again. yes it is - it fixes the issue - meanwhile, I leave UA value to have Testlink worked, but what is my further steps? wait for update from Firefox and reset UA value?

The site is doing UA sniffing and we changed the format... Note: Using this older UA is fine but it may cause problems especially in the future. Some day in the future you get problems and you don't remember that you changed the UA string.

which site doint UA sniffing? do you mean Testlink? so - what could be proper solution ? maybe notify user somehow on wrong UA value?

Testlink seems to do UA sniffing and that's bad. There are only 2 solutions to this: a) The software (testlink) gets fixed b) The change is Firefox get reverted in one of the next versions (unlikely?)
