Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20.0 Firefox/20.0
Build ID: 20121122030751

Steps to reproduce:

I visited a HTML5 demo: https://developer.mozilla.org/de/demos/detail/modeling-elastic-collisions-w-html5-and-javascript

Actual results:

The scrollbar flickers sometimes.

Expected results:

The scrollbar should be hidden.
OS: Windows 7 → All
Hardware: x86_64 → All
Version: 20 Branch → unspecified
What makes you think that the scrollbars shouldn't flicker ?
I see the flickering with Firefox 17, Seamonkey trunk, Opera12.11 and Safari6.0.2(OSX)
The scrollbars appear when the circles go beyond the window. If the circles did not move after moving outside of the currently viewable area, the scrollbars wouldn't flicker -- they'd remain in place for you to scroll up and see those hidden circles. Consequently, this appears to be expected behaviour.
