Steps to reproduce:

As soon & as often as I started a new compose in TBird 17.0 & the window opens, I have had a crash which occurred right away. Whe it restarted, the Compose\write window was not present!


Actual results:

a crash which made it unusable.


Expected results:

A normal compose/write.
I guess that you have the quicktext addon installed
