From a quick search this file is the only one using "e-mail" instead of "email" in Gaia.
Component: Gaia → Gaia::E-Mail

I count now four instances of e-mail: two in manifest, two in strings
http://transvision.mozfr.org/?recherche=e-mail&repo=gaia&sourcelocale=en-US&locale=it&search_type=strings

This could be a lost cause, especially since this is name of the icon displayed on the screen.

Andrew, any thoughts?

Also need to understand from Pike if a change to manifest.webapp would be disruptive for our string extraction process. It's also sad to notice some locales just following en-US without establishing a glossary :-(

We should definitely be using "email" instead of "e-mail."

Stephany (CC'd) is currently undertaking a copy audit for all of Firefox OS so we should be able to catch and standardize things like this.

Thanks.
Re localizing the manifest, the string extraction will change the en-US string allright, but it won't create a new ID, so we'll need to do manual outreach about that one.
If Matej says we should be using email, then we should definitely change it. :jrburke is the owner of the front-end part of the email app now, so please direct any reviews at him.
