Nightly unagi/otoro builds should be uploaded into directories like

/pub/mozilla.org/b2g/mozilla-beta/2012-11-27

How about
 /pub/mozilla.org/b2g/nightly/mozilla-beta/2012/11/2012-11-27-hh-mm
with a symlink from mozilla-beta/latest/ to the right mozilla-beta/YYYY/MM/YYYY-MM-DD-hh-mm ? That'd keep things browsable via http over the long term and while the most recent is easily reached.

I think this isn't needed for an existing symlink, since ln -sf will happily rewrite one. So perhaps just update the commment to say 'First delete an existing directory ...' instead.

Attachment: Remove symlink first

It turns out we do need to delete the symlink first, otherwise we end up with links like 2012-12-04-16-09-52 -> 2012/12/2012-12-04-16-09-52 inside the existing latest/ directory.
