User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:20.0) Gecko/20.0 Firefox/20.0 Build ID: 20121126030823 Steps to reproduce: Reading email at mail.yahoo.com, Actual results: I attempted to use navigation arrows. Nightly seems to ignore them... as well as page up/down. Expected results: Don't ignore the keys. This is a Fedora Core 16 x86_64 system with KDE as the desktop.

@George R. Goffe: Could you test with a new profile, please?
Flags: needinfo?(grgoffe)
Loic, You will notice that this system is a Fedora 16 x86_64 system, KDE is the desktop, Nightly is the FF version I'm using. I'll post the results of the test you've asked for. Thanks mon vieux, George...

Loic, A newer profile that I have for this kind of testing does not show the problem. What a surprise. My question is now, what's wrong with the current profile I use daily? How did it get damaged? During my testing, the cursor within text seems to disappear but appears briefly while I'm typing and disappears again SHORTLY after I stop typing. Any thoughts? Regards, George...
It could be an incompatible add-on (so try in safe mode) or a bad pref (try reset). Anyway if a new profile fixes the issue, not sure if there is something to debug.
It works for me on Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:20.0) Gecko/20.0 Firefox/20.0 (20121127030907) and Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0 (20121128060531).
Mario, Something is dreadfully wrong with the profile I'm using. Cut/paste in yahoo mail is broken as well. When I get a prompt as to which profile to use, the buttons now require double clicks in order to be effective. None of these problems exist in a new profile BUT, the browser looks and acts differently with regard to the addons/plugins. Perhaps I need to disable all and then selectively enable one at a time and observe the results? George...

As you said there is a problem with your profile so I guess useing new profile or in safe mode you are not able to reproduce this. Considering this being a particular issue someone with permission set status for this bug as resolved invalid.

Try to disable your addons one by one to see which one is produceing this issue and please post a reply after that. Thanks George.
Try http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode with your broken profile. It's very likely that one of your addons is causing this issue.
