Maybe this is just because of the test devices (I tried both phone types, multiple headsets, different locations), but the radio quality is very poor. The sound is fuzzy and too soft, even at the highest volume level.
We can ship without this and certainly get to v2 without improvements, but this is a product quality issue especially since we know our users will want to use the radio on this phone.

FM volume can't be controlled recently and a patch is under-review.

Can we get QA verification of this issue? Would be good to get in market testing also.

The quality is acceptable to me (@Taiwan)
Larissa,
Have you tried with the default unagi headphone (the one shipped with the device) ?

I just tried three earphones with the Unagi device and radio-- the ones that shipped with the phone, an Apple one, and a Galaxy Nexus one (Samsung). The quality was noticeably louder and less fuzzy on the unagi earphones. On the Apple one, you can barely hear the sound from some of the radio stations.
I don't think it's enough to say that just because it works with the earphones that come with the device; in our user research, we found that a lot of users in Brazil switch out the earphones that come with the device, and that the radio is one of the most important apps for them.
If we have people willing to test in Brazil, can we get them to try this out with a number of headsets and see if they think it's ok?

Sorry, I should also mention that since I last tested, the radio app's reception as a whole has gotten better. Less fuzziness in general.
