Device: Asus Nexus 7 (Android v 4.2)

How to reproduce:
Go to google.com and input a search query which contains a typo in the middle.
Try to fix the typo, by placing the marker in the middle of the word. Try moving the marker over to the next word.

What happens:
The marker will disappear when dragged. Moreover, if you start typing something, it inputs the text at the end of the search box.
