817149 - Validator intermittently fails to connect to server

Sometimes the validator fails to connect to servers I can otherwise reach. When submitting my app to the production marketplace it occasionally couldn't hit http://facevalueapp.com/manifest.webapp, though after trying multiple times eventually did.

Might be worth looking through logs to get more info as I have basically none, but I noticed this while experiencing intermittent outdated validator error bugs as well.

if you were seeing the error messages in bug 817152 we may have been in a state of updating.  You filed this at 1:56pm and we do updates at 2pm, I'm not sure if you experienced the problem long before filing though.

We don't have more detailed logs of this kind of thing - if it says it couldn't connect to a server that's all we're going to know as well.  If you (or anyone) sees this problem and they can talk to us (read: IT or services ops) on IRC right away we might be able to track it down.  Otherwise I don't think there is much we can do in this bug so I'll close it.  Do let us know if anyone sees this again though.
