Non vowel character in conversion mode is not displayed in Linux. Steps of reproduce 1. Go to above URL and turn on IME 2. Type "k" in text field with hiragana mode At this time, "k" is not displayed. Blank space is added. "k" should be displayed. 3. Type "a" after "k" Now, Japanese hiragana is displayed. If you type "kts" (non vowel characters), those characters are not displayed. This works fine in Composer and URL bar. This does not work only text area. Tested 5-17-09 Linux build.
Added intl keyword and changed QA contact to myself.

Reassign to katakai@japan.sun.com. Is this a regression?

Is the platform Redhat 6.2J? I understand this problem is the same problem of bug 81528. 'k' is jisx0201. I'll try the patch attached by Brian.
