Each time i begin to type in URL field this error displays in console:

Gdk-CRITICAL **: file gdkwindow.c: line 716 (gdk_window_ref): assertion `window
!= NULL' failed.

It seems to happen when the new history auto-dropdown drops down.

I see the same thing, but not every time. It seems to be a timing issue.
If I click in the url bar and _slowly_ delete characters, nothing
happens. If I do it fast, I see the assertion.

Type the letter "h" - and then wait. The error displays 100% reliably here.
not sure if this should go into the urlbar or autocomplete component. trying the
latter first...

I think I have seen something related in another crash.
(CVS update from this morning (May 23), and running under BSD/OS 4.2
on an x86 machine.)

Visit http://www.us.buy.com and mozilla repeatably crashes with the
same error message:

Gdk-CRITICAL **: file gdkwindow.c: line 716 (gdk_window_ref): assertion `window
!= NULL' failed.
Segmentation fault - core dumped
