Steps to reproduce:

Running version 17.0.1.

Restarted Firefox.


Actual results:

Connection re-established


Expected results:

Firefox should be able to browse once the connection comes back without restarting it.  I am able to browse with other browsers without any problems.

I couldn't reproduce the issue on the latest Nightly.
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:20.0) Gecko/20121210 Firefox/20.0

Also, this isn't reproducible for me on Firefox 17.0.1.
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:17.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/17.0
Build ID: 20121128204232

Could you please try the following:

1) try this with a clean profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

2) running in Safe mode: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

Hello,

I'm having the same problem with Firefox Developer Edition (42.0a2 (2015-08-27)).

When turn off network and turn it on again or when the notebook goes to suspend mode and came back, Firefox can't open any page.

If I close Firefox the window goes off but the firefox.exe continue executing in background, I must kill firefox.exe to restart again and then everything works.

I've tried openning in Safe Mode, uninstall extensions, themes and disable plugins but still the same.

I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 32 bits.
