User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:17.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/17.0 Build ID: 20121128204232 Steps to reproduce: Hover on the word "Me" on the Preview Pane to see which email account was the target of the received email. (Would be especially helpful if the received message in incorrectly assigned to the Spam folder and you need to determine which, of many, email accounts was the original target.) Actual results: Account information is behind other elements of the Preview Pane and therefore cannot be read. i.e., Z-Index is incorrect. Expected results: Account information should appear above all other elements of the application for the duration of the hover. Please see attached screenshot for an illustration of the bug. Note: This bug has existed in the past several versions. The theme in use on this installation of Thunderbird 17.0 is simply the default theme.
That does not look like the default theme and that "Me" is not in the message header pane.
I didn't say it was in the message header pane. I said it was in the PREVIEW pane. But whether in it's own tab, or shown in the preview pane, same bug. Don't know why I have to prove to developers that this is the default theme, or even that the bug exists in the first place, but whatever... Please see the additional screenshots I have now attached.
"message header pane" is part of the PREVIEW pane.
I see the problem you describe in the screenshots. However, that preview pane/ msg header pane does not look like what is shipped with TB by default. Can you try with extensions disabled?
Component: Untriaged → Message Reader UI
That's a Conversations bug. Issues for that go here: https://github.com/protz/GMail-Conversation-View/issues
Jim, Fair enough. Conversations disabled and removed.
