User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0
Build ID: 2012111600
Steps to reproduce:
We are running a vBulletin based forum, which has an AJAX based quick-reply functionality. This means that a form is provided with which user can post a message, which is posted using AJAX and directly becomes visible on the same page.
This all works well, however recently we received several notifications from users that specifically Firefox automatically fills the form with already submitted data.
One reproducible case is where the user would:
1) Enter some data to the form.
2) Submit the form successfully. (this posts the form data using AJAX and clears the information in the form)
3) Use the browser refresh button to refresh the page (now the form suddenly contains the information that was previously posted again).
4) Refresh the page a second time. (now the form is empty).
It looks like Firefox remembers the data filled in the form and fills it again, with the assumption that it hasn't been submitted yet.
Can it be introduced in a recent update of the browser? Our users started to notice this behavior since approximately the 10th of November 2012.
Actual results:
Firefox automatically fills form with information that has already been submitted. (at step 3)
Expected results:
Firefox shouldn't fill the form again, since the information is submitted successfully already. (at step 3)

So, a bug submitted 9 years earlier is a duplicate. Maybe if 197509 was fixed 9 years ago then 819648 would not have been submitted.
