819944 - on galaxy s3, I get many tabs opened in the background without asking

if I launch my browser I usually end up with 3 or 4 tabs open.  So I close them all, go to settings, then go back to the awesome screen and I have 3 tabs all the sudden.

This is the case when I click on a link, enter a new url, or anything related to focusing on a tab. At one point in time I had 29 tabs open.

I cannot find the buildid via about: or in settings, it just says 2012-12-09 (20.0a1) and in doing that I ended up with 31 tabs open!
