User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:10.0.9) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/10.0.9 Build ID: 20121011153109 Steps to reproduce: I also performed an in-firefox upgrade from 17.0 to 17.0.1 on 12/9/2012 and am now getting a blank screen whenever I initiate a search from http://www.google.com - Yahoo search works fine. Google search from IE 8.0 works fine. Below is the Google URL when I search for "newark airport": http://www.google.com/#hl=en&sugexp=les%3B&gs_nf=3&gs_rn=0&gs_ri=hp&cp=5&gs_id=5t&xhr=t&q=newark+airport&pf=p&tbo=d&output=search&sclient=psy-ab&oq=newar&gs_l=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&fp=36ad7c0967172426&bpcl=39650382&biw=1280&bih=581 I ran Spybot S&D, Malwarebytes and MS Security Essentials - all were clean, no problems.
Dupe Bug 819120 ?
I can't reproduce this issue on the latest Nightly. User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:20.0) Gecko/20121217 Firefox/20.0 Build ID: 20121217030850 Could you please try the following : 1) try this with a clean profile: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles 2) running in Safe mode: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
(In reply to Manuela Muntean from comment #2) > I can't reproduce this issue on the latest Nightly. > > User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:20.0) Gecko/20121217 Firefox/20.0 > Build ID: 20121217030850 > > Could you please try the following : > > 1) try this with a clean profile: > http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove- > firefox-profiles > > 2) running in Safe mode: > http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe- > mode On 12/16/2012 I downloaded and ran CClean (clean all browser cache/history/etc, also used it to cleaned the registry). Google search using firefox 17.0.1 now works properly. That's all I did. I wish I knew the root cause but it seems that running CClean did help.
