On Linux 64 trunk, having DOM Inspector 2.0.13 enabled prevents Firefox from opening new windows either from script or via the New Window menu command/ctrl-n.
Is this on a nightly build or something?  Are you still seeing this?

Don't see this in recent SeaMonkey and Thunderbird versions. 

DOM Inspector is no longer compatible with Firefox because of Mozilla api removals.
