The search box's placeholder gets cut off on my B2G mobile device, which looks a bit shotty. Maybe try this to ensure a more elegant cut off solution? http://davidwalsh.name/placeholder-overflow

Took a look at this- the solution is apparently non-obvious (or I'm a mook)

In looking at this further, it appears this no longer works. The text itself can have its text-overflow set to ellipsis, but the placeholder will only ellipsize in WebKit. I filed a bug to Core, but if it gets rejected, this can be RESOLVED:INVALID 'd.
