Steps to reproduce:

Moved an overflowed select into view via translateX(-100%)

Actual results:

The select was not able to be changed.  Clicking on option elements never fire a change event and the select element is only changeable through keyboard navigation.


Expected results:

The select should behave as normal; be clickable, and fire change events when a new option is clicked.

It doesn't work in FF17 but it works in FF20, so I guess it's already fixed.

Could you confirm it's fixed in FF20, please?

On 20.0a1 (2012-12-18) nether select is changeable, trigger change events.

v 20 is more broken than v 17 on mac

I can confirm this bug in Firefox 19 for Mac, just released.

It appears to have been fixed in Firefox Nightly 22.0a1 (2013-02-20).

Raymond's test case is working on Nightly (2013-03-11), but I still have this issue with select elements on other sites.

For example, at http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/videohub/techspecs?pid1=4034&pid2=3992#techspecs-top , the select element on the left column works fine with the mouse, but I have to use the keyboard to make a choice on the select on the right. (I can open it with the mouse, but can't make a selection.

Note: This appears to be limited to the two-click mode. If I click-and-hold on the right column's select, make a choice, and release the mouse, the menu works correctly. If I click-and-release to open the drop-down, then try to click something, nothing happens until I hit return.

On OSX 10.8.2, Retina MBP

The testcase and URL in comment 5 works fine for me in Nightly (35) on Linux and OSX.
