When I download and install the latest nightly from: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-central/
I get a build with a build ID From today, but its changeset is from an earlier date:
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/2e70b718903a
We haven't been able to verify a few fixes that needed baking in nightly before uplifting to beta.

Here's a screenshot.
I think the date is from the original changeset, wherever it landed.
It was pushed to mozilla-central sometime last night.

You can also go to http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/2e70b718903a and hit the 'parent' link twice and see that it was landed sometime yesterday.

Right, you want the *push* date, not the changeset date:
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?changeset=2e70b718903a
Sorry, Mercurial is confusing like that. :-/
