From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:0.9+) Gecko/20010518 BuildID: 20010518 This site (allows me to send SMS message to mobile phones) checks the identity of the browser. I'd like to check if Mozilla works here, but before, Mozilla (or should it be called Chameleon ;) ?) has to change its identity to bypass the check. Reproducible: Always
At least under Win32, it would be nice to have an option under preferences that would allow you select whether Mozilla should be identified as "Netscape" or "MSIE" or "someweirdbrowsernamehere". It can be sometimes very useful.
