After going to the French to the french office, with a phone configured when the French locale I noticed that my phone did not connect automatically to any Mozilla network. After going into the wifi settings, I did not notice any Wifi result even if the wifi appeared enabled with the switch blue-check mark. This problem can be worked-around by switching the locale to English, going to the Wifi configuration, toggle the wifi, connect to a network, and restore the French locale. After, a reboot, the phone will reconnect to the wifi network (working, because I can open any page in the browser app), but it does not appear as enabled in the settings app. The Wifi switch from the settings apps appear to be a no-op when the Phone use the French locale. Dis-activating the wifi from the Settings apps switch does not change the status of the Wifi as opposed of the drop-down menu. Looks like 821204. I still can't reproduce on today's Gecko 18, but note that this has been reported on a rather old test-driver build…
