Bug 816730 introduced a new powerful filter syntax for web activities. That change is on m-i now and will hopefully make it to b2g-18 soon. So now gaia apps have more control over what activity requests they are listed for. We can use this new filter feature to ensure that wallpaper images are only presented as an option for pick activities that explicitly request wallpaper. This prevents wallpapers from being offered as a choice to users who want to pick a contact image, for example. I don't think that there are any blocking changes required, but Jonas has said that he would a+ the trivial change required to make the wallpaper picker work the way we would like it to.

We need documentation for the new syntax. Should we file a separated bug?

Andrea, I think you may just be able to add the dev-doc-needed keyword to 816730

Really? I didn't fix anything, did you? It looks like the wallpaper app manifest still specifies a width and height and is not taking advantage of the new syntax you implemented. I would still like to do something smarter, eventually. But probably not while we're trying to ship v1.1.
