linux build 2001052308 on this page on the right hand side there is a navigation menu. with mozilla, there is approximately 5 pixel white gap between the menu entries. both netscape 4.7x and internet explorer 5.x show no gaps between the buttons. not a new bug, has been there for as long as the page itself, but just recently i happened to view it with ie & ns4.7x..
i should add that changing font size changes the size of the gaps a little, but they never go away. on ns4.7x, changing font size doesn't seem to affect the menu and so doesn't introduce gaps either..
Looks kinda like bug 82452...
The page uses a 4.01 transitional doctype with a DTD url, so it's laid out in strict layout mode. See bug 22274 for an explanation of the gaps. This is not a Mozilla bug. The page's code is wrong. Over to evang.

This can be fixed by setting the 'display' property of the images (and the anchors surrounding them) to 'block'.
