The latest release of rabbitmq server has better support for a ha queues. We should upgrade all our instances starting with dev.

Upgraded to 3.0.1 on -dev.
Reverted back to 2.7.1 on -dev due to connection issues. Seeing the following in logs:
z.celery:ERROR CELERY FAIL: [Errno 104] Connection reset by peer :/data/www/addons-dev.allizom.org/venv/src/nuggets/celeryutils.py:24
Severity: minor → enhancement
There are definitely some features of celery 3 that could be useful for our tasks (e.g. chords). There's also some deprecations devs would need to consider before doing this so things still work afterwards.

http://docs.celeryproject.org/en/latest/whatsnew-3.0.html looks like a lot of good stuff for both developers and IT.

I'm happy to help out on the dev side and get this on the radar.
Summary: Upgrade rabbitmq server to 3.0.1 → Upgrade rabbitmq server to 3.1.0
