https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUYwKqPilSw Apologies for the focus on the video, it's the best I could do. Do watch this in HD. I work out of the SF office and can make my phone available to anyone who would like to see these two problems. This is Fennec running on a brand new Republic Wireless Motorola Defy XT557 running Android 2.3.7 Problem #1 Steps to reproduce : * Launch Firefox mobile * In the URL bar type in a search term, I used "Firefox" * In the resulting Google search results page that comes up, tap in the Google search bar. Expected results : * The page should be cut in half as the keyboard displays at the bottom half of the screen and you can see the top half of the page and the text box as you type in your search Actual Results : * The keyboard appears and the upper half of the screen becomes white, with the orange cursor indiactor floating where the text box should be. The actual page is only visible in the 10 pixels or so above the keyboard and below the white box Problem #2 Steps to reproduce : * Launch Firefox Mobile * In the URL bar type in a search term, I used "Firefox" * The google search results page is displayed * Rotate the phone 90 degrees Expected results : * The browser should rotate 90 degrees and display the web page Actual results : * The screen is cut in half and the bottom half of the screen is filled with the web page where the rendering doesn't realize that resolution has changed. You can see that what's going on is that the phone/fennec still thinks the width of the screen is the narrow dimension as if the phone is upright, when it's actually the wide dimension because the phone has been rotated. This results in the first line of pixels (which is the narrow width) being rendered, followed by the beginning of the second line of pixels on the same line. This continues with the mismatch between the actual screen width and what the renderer thinks it is.

This looks exactly like bug 819183; we can probably rename the bug as its not solely dependant on orientation.
