Win32 build 2001052404 If I send a URL to the personal toolbar and then rename the bookmark, it will revert back to its original title if I move that link within the toolbar.

WFM on 2001052708 on Win2K, both through the Bookmarks Manager and through the Personal Toolbar directly.

Ok, I can dupe it now. It only seems to happen to bookmarks dragged from the URL bar onto the Personal Toolbar, not an existing bookmark dragged from the Boomarks manager.
Win32 build 2001052420 I have to agree with the original bugs comments and disagree with Chris Lyon's comments. Most of my items on personal Toolbar are from originally filing them there from "File Bookmark", or reordering in Bookmarks manager. None are from dnd from URL bar to personal toolbar. Here's what I see. 1. Bookmark a page and file to personal toolbar : eg "Slashdot:News for nerds.." 2. Rename using properties dialog to "Slashdot" 3. dnd on personal toolbar - note the bookmark item has now been renamed back to original name and this is also listed as the name in properties.

Ok, I found out why I couldn't reproduce this bug properly before. Bookmarks are only getting renamed back to the page title if the page is in the history. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit one of the bookmarks on the Personal Toolbar (PT) 2. Rename that bookmark on the PT 3. DnD that bookmark on the PT 4. Visit a different site (or blank page). 5. Clear history (through prefs->navigator->history) 6. Repeat steps 2-3 using the same bookmark After clearing the history, the bookmark will not revert names.

Related problems: - If I drag any bookmarklet from http://www.squarefree.com/bookmarklets/ to my personal toolbar, I get a bookmark with no name. - If I drag a link from http://mozilla.org/ that I haven't visited to my personal toolbar, I get a bookmark with no name. - If I drag a link from http://mozilla.org/ that I have visted to my personal toolbar, I get a bookmark with the title of the linked-to page rather than the text in the link. This looks intentional, but it's confusing. If I wanted the bookmark to have the same title as the page, I would have added it from that page.
