When uploading large emails (with attachment), the progress bar remains blank
using Modern chrome.  Also, while the file is uploading, any open Mozilla apps
(navigator, mail, etc) will hang.  Once the upload completes, there is about a
thirty-second delay before the apps come back to life.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
Open navigator and mail.
Zip up a bunch of files, or attach a movie file to an email.
Send same to someone(who hopefully has good bandwidth:) via IMAP.
Try to use any Mozilla component.
When upload completes, try to use the components again.
Time how long it takes before functionality is restored.

Relevant system info:
P III 1gHz
Using Linux-Mandrake 8.0 standard install.
Happily networked via cable modem.

Reporter 0.8 is very old try updating to one of the latest nightlies and/or 0.9.
This is also a dupe.
