Expected results: The text should not have frozen.
Severity: normal → critical
See also bug 825372; I think Yahoo is serving up some script that the Gecko JS engine is choking on. I can't repro a beachball, but I can repro the "unresponsive script" errors on various Yahoo pages (or at least I could before I bitbucketed traffic to several of the non-Yahoo servers associated with the pages; I'd be happy to explain my workaround on the forums). That said, it's probably not anything we can fix on our end. Yahoo should stop serving that script to older Gecko browsers, or stop serving it to anyone at all. About the only way this would be a Camino bug might be if you click "Stop script" and the script keeps running.
