From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.4.3-20mdk i686; en-US; rv:0.9) Gecko/20010505 BuildID: 2001050521 [RFE?] "Edit Message as New" should delete existing message from outbox when the new version is saved/sent. IMVHO this should delete the old/existing unsent message. Not really a bug, I suppose, but a feature. Or have other people requested the existing functionality? I guess it should also offer a "save/send as new message" option which would duplicate current functionality. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select a unsent messagesave/send msg. 2. "Edit Message as New" 3. change the message 4. Click "Send/Send later" Actual Results: Old (original) message is still in outbox. Expected Results: Original message should have been deleted.
No no no. This would cause unwanted dataloss, and we *don't* want that. That I can assure you. Marking wontfix.

You should ba able to open (as draft) an unsent message by double-clicking on it. In this case we will replace the old one when you save ut. If that doesn't work, please file a new bug.
