Linux pc build: 2001052508 If I'm in the mail browser, I cannot select all the messages for a given folder by using either the menu command or Ctrl-A.

Neither can I. This is most certainly a 0.9.1 blocker!

cc'ing nbaca and some people who might be able to look into this as well. I'd be curious to know the extent of the problem, see if it's an easy fix and then decided if we need to get this in. It seems to work sometimes but not always.

cc Varada also.
It works for me as long as the "Select All" is enabled. I'm using commercail build 2001052404 (the last build from 05-24) on WinNT4.0. The Select All mennu is disabled when I click on the current selected folder.

Build 2001-05-24-04: WinMe Build 2001-05-25-08: Linux RH 6.2 Build 2001-05-25-04: Mac 9.04 Reproduced on all platforms. Once I get into a state where Select All does not work, if I select the message pane or the folder pane and then go back to the original message in the thread pane then it works again, but not for long.

Steps to reproduce: 1. Login to Mail 2. Select the down arrow so that a message is highlighted in the thread pane 3. Select Edit|Select All Actual Results: Nothing happens. If I select the folder pane or message pane, then reselect the SAME message then Select All/Ctrl+A works and it breaks once another message is selected. Expected Results: Select All/Ctrl+A should always work if a message is selected in the thread pane. Additional Information: - Message pane: Always selects all the text. - New message/compose window: Always selects all the text.

I talked to mscott about this problem is he said that it's a xptoolkit bug not setting the focus back to the thread pane. As pointed out by Ninoschka, in the working case, the ThreadPaneController is correctly triggered with the selectAll command and the DefaultController is correctly not triggered with the selectAll command. In the case that it does not work, the ThreadPaneController is not triggered with the selectAll command while the DefaultController is. Changing product and component.
