From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:0.9) Gecko/20010505 BuildID: I have entries in my "hosts" file such as this: 127.0.0.1 ad.doubleclick.net Which short ciruit the loading of the ads. On Netscape 4.7x, no error is notices. IE 5 shows a message in place of the ad: "The page cannot be display" Both of these are acceptable. However Mozilla brings up a dialog box: "Alert The connection was refused when attempting to contact ad.doubleclick.net" This is annoying as there may be a half dozen of the errors on a page and the instance of Mozilla might be behind several other windows. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Modify hosts file with an entry as shown in description. 2. Load Mozilla 3. Load a web page with the exclusion. Actual Results: Dialog box(es) showing: Alert The connection was refused when attempting to contact ad.doubleclick.net Expected Results: Load the web page with no dialog box. Maybe show on the web page, an error. Preferably, through configuration, show nothing at all and maybe reformat page absorbing the unused space.
