While the geolocation itself works on the device (geoloc test application confirms), launching Maps and trying to tap in the bottom left corner to get current location does not work: the icon seems not being activated. Right bottom corner works and allows to select layers successfully.
I did reset-gaia. gecko @ 51a4cbe, gaia @ 6dad649, on Nexus S.

Can repro on unagi as well. The bottom left button seems to do nothing.
But the map is diplayed with correct location on app startup.

I can reproduce the same in build 20130110070201. Clicking the bottom left button does nothing. Screenshot attached.

I don't think we should be blocking on things that could be evangelism issues. It could be potentially a geolocation issue, so putting needsinfo on Doug.

As I said, other application with geolocation works. Maps does not even start geolocation request, as far as I can tell.

If I go to Settings, Applications permissions, then display permissions of Maps, I don't see "geolocation" listed. I do see it for other applications.

I retest this again, but doing the same steps, but this time walking outside to a clear line of site with satellite.
this time it worked when i hit the bottom right button. i got a pinpointed location of exactly where i was.
Alexandre, can you confirm if you have a direct line of site to the sky, that this is still broken or not?

It does *NOT* *EVEN* try to use GPS, I have *NO* geolocation notification in the statusbar.

Looks like my system was severely busted, even reset-gaia did not work. After forcing with MAKECMDGOALS=production, it's okay.
